Vegan Milkshake – Chocolate Banana or Blueberry Peach

Perhaps the greatest thing about becoming a vegan is discovering Silk Dark Chocolate Almond Milk.  It is pure heaven.  There is no way I will ever be going back to cow’s milk.  Once opened though, it only lasts 7-10 days.  And you need both vanilla and chocolate in your fridge at all times.  Trust me, you do.  It’s that good.  So what is there to do if you don’t drink both cartons by the end of the week?

Simple.  Just pour what’s left in an ice cube tray and freeze it.  Whenever you want a delicious milkshake, all you need to do is grab a few ingredients.

Milkshake IngredientsChocolate Banana Milkshake

Ingredients:

-8 ice cubes of frozen dark chocolate almond milk
-1/2 cup liquid dark chocolate milk
-1 ripe banana

Blend together.

Calories: 280

Makes about 20 ounces.

Blueberry Peach SmoothieBlueberry Peach Milkshake

Ingredients:

-8 ice cubes of frozen vanilla almond milk
-1/2 cup liquid vanilla milk
-1/2 cup blueberries
-1/2 cup sliced peaches

Blend together.  Drop a few extra blueberries and peaches on top if desired.

Calories: 250.  Makes about 20 ounces.

  2. Silk dark chocolate is also really good heated and topped with a dollop of solid, sweetened coconut milk. And maybe a few Enjoy Life chocolate chips added on the top for good measure. But then, you’ll never lose weight that way. Forget I said anything.

  3. 2 very tasty smoothy recipes, easy does it here! But It is more healthy if you make your own chocolate plant-based milk!
